An early spring woodland ambience punctuated by the distinctive drumming of a woodpecker. In the background there are all kinds of other sounds - various bird calls, a constant hiss from the flowing of two nearby burns (the Scottish word for small streams of water), a distant hum which is probably from a sawmill in nearby Cardross, and some rumbling that might be traffic or the train line or maybe also the sawmill.
